Palliative Care Adult Network Guidelines (PANG)

These guidelines have been adopted as the preferred guidelines for general palliative care within Northern Ireland via the Palliative Care Network.

This regional guidance (in line with NICE NG31 guideline) provides dosing recommendations on common symptoms at the end of life including pain, breathlessness, nausea & vomiting, anxiety, delirium & agitation and noisy respiratory secretions.

This palliative care resource pack for pharmacists can be used as a quick reference guide, providing some general information on palliative care. It is produced in a ring binder format so you can easily add any other palliative resources you obtain. You can also easily remove any of the resources to photocopy them, if you need.
